Initial D (2007), influential for racing anime and “car jams” Produced by multiple studios. Spacey main character overcoming further and further obstacles of absurdist dimensions.

Initial D Second Stage (2000) certainly is more fast and consistent than season one, however less memorable racing scenes directly hinders the core appeal of the show.

Initial D Third Stage (movie) (2001), while cinematic in visual quality, struggles with drama instead of racing, albeit higher in quality than the first (and sometimes, although in less similar terms to) the second stage.

Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu (2016) compiles the life of two aspiring actors - depicting themes of aging and death - acknowledging the trust and betrayal of relationships (or bonds). Neither actor - in both senses - attempts to change yet subconsciously become like each other amidst the story. The sparse civilization - their audience - rarely interact with the more intertwined interpersonal handful of key characters. The stage, almost alienating in a sense, contrasts the at-times dark, at times lively, and at times dull lives of each. Nevertheless, Rakugo attempts to twist drama when things become too dull - with mixed effects. If the second season is capable of maintaining such quality and coherence as this, then I will be truly impressed.

KonoSuba (2016) paints amazing visuals over tasteless yet sometimes amusing humor. Similar to Gintama, every character is highly idiotic in their own fashion, yet create a spectrum of chaos which is amusing nonetheless.

KonoSuba II (2017) carries the same fundamentals as the original season, and is afraid of deviating, yet at times the execution of absurdism reaches new highs (darkness tied to the ground of a moving vehicle, fighting exotic slimes) while at others is too careful to become more interesting than its shallow gags.
